The starry Night

by "Vincent van Gogh"

The Starry Night is an oil on canvas painting by the Dutch post-impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh. Painted in June 1889, it depicts the view from the east-facing window of his asylum room in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, just before dawn, with the addition of an imaginary village. Van Gogh depicted the view at different times of the day, including sunrise, moonrise, sunny days, cloudy days, windy days, and a rainy day. Although the hospital staff did not allow Van Gogh to paint in his bedroom, there he was able to make sketches in ink or charcoal on paper; Eventually, I would base newer variations on older versions.

The Mona Lisa

by "Leonardo da Vinci"

The portrait of Lisa Gherardini, wife of Francesco del Giocondo, better known as La Gioconda or Monna Lisa, is a pictorial work of the Italian Renaissance polymath Leonardo da Vinci. It was acquired by King Francis I of France at the beginning of the 16th century and has been property of the French State since then. Through historical studies it has been determined that the model could be a neighbor of Leonardo, that her descendants could be known and that the model could have been pregnant, due to the way she hides her hands.

The Last Supper

by "Leonardo da Vinci"

The Last Supper is an original wall painting by Leonardo da Vinci executed between 1495 and 1498. It is located on the wall on which it was originally painted, in the refectory of the Dominican convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie, in Milan, declared Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1980. At this supper, according to the Gospels, Jesus blessed bread and broke it, telling the disciples, “Take, eat; this is my body.” He then passed a cup of wine to them, saying, “This is my blood.” Jesus' words refer to the Crucifixion he was about to suffer in order to atone for humankind's sins.

The Birth Of Venus

by "Sandro Botticelli"

The Birth of Venus is a painting made by the Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli, one of the masterpieces of the Florentine master and the Italian Quattrocento. It is executed in tempera on canvas and measures 278.5 cm wide by 172.5 cm high. This painting was in its time a revolutionary work because it openly presented a nude not justified by any religious component, as well as a mythological theme from classical Greco-Roman culture prior to Christianity , which meant full acceptance—at least by the cultural elites—of the new Renaissance humanism far from medieval obscurantism.
